Puri Rath Yatra 2025 schedule: Check details of rituals and their timings on Rath Yatra day

Find here the schedule of the rituals from Mangala Alati at 6 am till pulling of the chariots at 4 pm

Puri: The Rath Yatra 2025, Lord Jagannath’s renowned automobile festival in the holy city of Puri in Odisha, will take place tomorrow, which is Friday, the 27th of June this year.

This day is the Dwitiya of the bright fortnight (Sukla Pakshya) in the month of Asadah and is the 13 day of Mithuna. Also called Ghosha Yatra, on this day tomorrow Lord Jagannath and his sibling deities Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will be taken to Sri Gundicha in three huge chariots that have been newly constructed and waiting for the deities on the Bada Danda, the grand road of Puri.

Here is the complete list of rituals and their timings that will be accordingly executed tomorrow on the Ratha Yatra day, i.e. June 27, 2025:

  1. Mangala Alati at 6 am,
  2. Mailam at 6.10 am,
  3. Tadapalagi at 6.30 am,
  4. Rosha Homa at 6.30 am,
  5. Abakasha at 7 am,
  6. Surya puja at 7.10 am,
  7. Dwarapala puja at 7.30 am,
  8. Besha Sesha by 7.30 am,
  9. Gopala Ballava and Sakala Dhupa (Khechudi Bhoga) 8 to 9 am,
  10. Ratha Pratishtha at 9 am,
  11. Mangalarpana at 9.15 am,
  12. Pahandi start from 9.30 am,
  13. Pahandi to end by 12.30 pm,
  14. Sri Sri Madan Mohan, Sri Sri Ram and Sri Sri Krishan Bije in between 12.30 to 1 pm,
  15. Chita lagi 1.30 to 2 pm,
  16. Besha Sesha 1.30 to 2.30 pm,
  17. Chhera Panhara by Gajapati King 2.30 to 3.30 pm,
  18. Charamala phita, Ghoda and Sarathi lagiba 4 pm (dismantling of the ladder and fixing of horses and Sarathi),
  19. Rathatana (pulling of chariots) start at 4 pm.

After pulling of Ratha begins, the other rituals will be performed on the chariot.
